Withnail & I Coat

Based on a 19th century riding coat, costume designer Andrea Galer created the tweed coat worn by Withnail throughout much of the film.

The original tweed jacket that Withnail wears throughout much of the film is now owned by Chris Evans, who paid £8000 for it at a West End charity auction in aid of Richard E Grant’s former school in Swaziland.
